Relax and unwind in one of our cozy river cabins and enjoy all the comforts of home while surrounded with the beauty of the Shenandoah River and mountains.

Each bedroom as well as living areas and lofts are equipped with TV, DVD player, and satellite TV. The cabins all have river access or riverfront. After a day on the River or hiking through the nearby GW National Forest, relax in the hot tub under the stars or play pool, air hockey, ping pong, or board games in the spacious gamerooms, or simply sit in front of a roaring fire.

If you’ve ever stayed at our cabins, Heaven Can Wait/Heaven’s Oasis and wished it could be your own family’s private River Retreat, well now it can be!
We have made the difficult decision to sell our family retreat. We have enjoyed it so much over the years as a place where our family and friends could get away. A place for our reunions and celebrations, vacations and decompression time. We have also enjoyed sharing as an Airbnb when we were not using it.

Follow along with me on my weekly Cabin Check day! Six cabins, eight hours, and 70 miles. It starts with loading up the car and packing a lunch and a latte. Midway a stop (where I knew there was signal!) to take a call from my son in Italy. It ended with a seat by the river to decompress before heading home 😁❤️

This week we got to spend a few days at our first and most sentimental cabin, Heaven on Earth. It was a working vacation with a very long punch list but relaxing here in this coziness every evening made it all worth it! ❤️❤️❤️

December can be stressful so why not take a few days this year to enjoy a small town Christmas with a cozy cabin, (maybe some snow!), window shopping, and a Christmas parade straight out of a Hallmark movie!!
Our cabins are all decorated for Christmas in December and ready for you to take a break and relax.

I was on my way to work at our cabins yesterday and saw this and literally stopped my car in the middle of the road to get out and take pictures!

It’s looking like the fall colors are going to be spectacular this year - they already are! Don’t wait to book your getaway. You know you need this break from the craziness of life. 🧐❤️

Our Story

Relax and unwind at our newly renovated cabin and enjoy all the comforts of home while surrounded with the beauty of the Shenandoah River and mountains. While it is a perfect hideaway for two, it can sleep up to nine with its beautifully decorated three bedrooms and loft. Each bedroom as well as the Living Room and Loft are equipped with TV, DVD player, and Direct TV. The cabin sits on 1.5 acres of flat land on the River and we have included a canoe, two kayaks, two tubes, and three bicycles for your enjoyment. After a day on the River or hiking through the nearby GW National Forest, relax in the 6 person hot tub under the stars or play pool, air hockey, and board games in the spacious gamerooms, or simply sit in front of a roaring fire. Experience for yourself why we call our cabin “Heaven on Earth”.
