One of the most popular purchases isn't a t-shirt or a mug, it's an ornament. 💚

Ornaments are easy to pack but most importantly they are small reminders of a special place, a favorite trail, a family vacation, or an experience that took your breath away. Each year, when ornaments are unpacked, the memories come back.

For many park lovers, their holiday tree becomes a collection of adventures, telling the story of places explored and memories made. One ornament at a time, they create a collection of adventures.

Here is the newest addition to our ornament collection, available at the Park Store or online.

Feeling lost? Look at your socks . . .

When thinking about hiking gear, focus is often on boots but the most important piece of equipment could be your socks. The right hiking socks can make the difference between an enjoyable day on the trail and a hike cut short by discomfort.

Find these Shenandoah National Park Map Socks online or in the Park Store.

✨New Wildflower T-Shirts online and in the Park Stores!✨

Every year, Shenandoah National Park Association releases a special Wildflower Weekend t-shirt. This year the shirt featured “Dutchman’s Breeches", one of the most whimsical spring blooms found in Shenandoah National Park. These delicate white flowers (Dicentra cucullaria) hang along their stems like tiny pantaloons on a clothesline, making them a favorite for hikers and wildflower lovers alike.

They are more than just eye-catching flowers, they are functional too. Bees handle pollination, while ants help carry the seeds to new homes where they can grow. A close relative of bleeding hearts, this unique plant is a true sign that spring has arrived in the mountains. ☀️
