IMPORTANT UPDATE: LIMITED STUDENT TRANSFER PROGRAM & FEE APPROVED

Following a special-called meeting last week where our Board of Trustees approved a Limited Student Transfer Program, the board officially approved the accompanying transfer fee at tonight's meeting.

Lumberton ISD will welcome a limited number of out-of-district student transfers in 1st through 12th grade for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year! Please note that our 5th-grade class is currently at maximum capacity.

If you know a family outside our district boundaries who wants their children to experience the Raider standard of excellence, here are the essential details to know before applying:

📋 Core Transfer Requirements:

Attendance: Must maintain an attendance rate of 97% or higher. Discipline: No history of JJAEP, DAEP, or out-of-school suspension (OSS) placements.
Tuition Fee: The approved transfer fee is $3,000 per student for the full school year, which must be paid in full prior to enrollment and is non-refundable.

⏳ Critical Timelines:

Registration Deadline: Completed applications must be dropped off in person at the LISD Administration Office no later than June 25.

Decision Deadline: Families will receive final transfer decisions by July 29.

📍 How to Apply:

Applications may be picked up in-person at LISD Administration Office or downloaded here: https://www.lumbertonisd.org/for-parents/enrollment-registration-information/non-resident-transfers
