Happy National Police Woman’s Day!

Today, the Lumberton Township Police Department proudly recognizes and celebrates the women who serve our community with courage, professionalism, compassion, and dedication.

We are especially proud of the five women police officers who serve alongside their fellow officers here in Lumberton Township.

With 5 female officers among our current 23 sworn officers, women make up approximately 21.7% of the Lumberton Township Police Department. We are proud of each and every one of them and this reflects the important and growing role women play in modern law enforcement. Out of 5 of our female officers, 2 hold the rank of Sergeant and are tasked with tremendous responsibility.

Today, and every day, we thank Sgt. Cellasio, Sgt. Saulle, Ofc. Dawson, Ofc. VanDunk and Ofc. Rodriguez for the commitment they have made to the Lumberton Township community and to the law enforcement profession.

This award is voted on by public vote.  Only one vote per person will be counted.  The winner will be announced at the Awards Program on November 20, 2026 during the National Conference on EMS in Atlantic City.

Today, Patrolman Kyle Johnson graduated from the Camden County College Police Academy, Class #94.

Following the successful completion of field training, Ptl. Johnson will be assigned to the Lumberton Township Police Department Patrol Division.

Please join us in congratulating Ptl. Johnson on this accomplishment and welcoming him to the Lumberton Township Police Department!

**State Highway Route 38 is fully reopened. Drive carefully and be safe!**

Route 38 Westbound is shut down until further notice due to a motor vehicle collision investigation.

Seek an alternate route. NJ DOT is on location assisting with traffic flow. An update will be given when the roadway is reopened.
