Pearl River County Fire & Rescue Districts 2, 4, 5, and 6 recently participated in some pump ops training utilizing hydrants as well as drafting from a static water source. It is amazing what can be accomplished and learned when we all work together to better our communities and Pearl River County as a whole.

Huge shout out to all members of Pearl River County Fire & Rescue for their teamwork on this fire.

Henleyfield- Crossroads volunteer Fire Department extends our prayers out to the family that suffered a fire at their residence in our community this morning. We ask that our community keep this family in your thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.

We also would like to extend a special thanks and gratitude to our neighboring departments and firefighters for coming out and providing assistance. As Volunteer departments we rely heavily on one another for water and manpower during these type incidents. Pine Grove volunteer fire department, McNeill volunteer fire department, Carriere volunteer fire department, Derby-Whitesand volunteer fire department, Northcentral Volunteer fire department, Pearl River county EMA office, Pearl River County sheriffs office, and Coast Electric power association all assisted in some form during this event.

As neighboring departments we find it important to be able to work together efficiently. So last night Northeast Fire Department North Central Fire Department Derby Whitesand VFD and Steephollow Volunteer Fire Department held a Mock Structure at North Central's Station 52 to try and better our skills to be able to work together as a team. Thank you to everyone who participated in the training. We look forward to training together more in the future.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the Pearl River County Road Department for helping to remove some trees that were in danger of falling on our fire station and causing significant damage. As always Thank you to the Pearl River County Board of Supervisors for always helping our department to give the best service possible to our community.
