Annual training is a lot of work, no doubt. But the best memories are knowing you went through it with your brothers and sisters. You’re with people you’ve known for years, or forming brand new friendships that will last a lifetime. Great work, Charlie Co.

While I was out with 1st DET, Cpl Reyes was with 2nd DET getting these sweet shots in. Luckily, it’s not too hard for us to get pictures when our fuelers are putting out and getting the job done 💪🏼

I want to give a HUGE shoutout to our I&I, H&S, and Navy Docs. There’s a lot of moving parts in field op, but we couldn’t do it without the support Marines/Sailors, and those in the COC. Thank you for all that you do.

We’re not just lethal with our rifles. When you check out our Marines at this years Marine Corps ball after-parties, you may see another familiar badge next to the rifle badge. Many Charlie Co Marines & Sailors qualified with the Beretta 92FS in the Marine Corps Combat Pistol Program. Similar to the ARQ, the pistol program tests fundamentals, accuracy, and combat efficiency. Also, similar to our rifle shooting, we didn’t have any “Unks”.

Taking it back to the basics. Every Marine is a rifleman. That’s why during our annual training, we visited the rifle range. However, this was our first time shooting the new Annual Rifle Qualification. The new course of fire is more combat oriented, and focused on lethality and critical thinking. But obviously, our Marines and Sailors are doing great, as we didn’t have an unqualified shooters.

Safety first. In the field, we’re joined by our heavy equipment and motor transportation operators. A large part of accomplishing the mission, is not only doing it efficiently, but safely. Cpl Buenrostro and LCpl Quezada kicked off a class in vehicle safety, moving around the vehicles, and ground guiding.

I wish I had more room to upload all of the photos from fuel ops at AT. Just know, every single day, the Marines of BFC C were killing it! The EFDS (Expeditionary Fuel Dispensing System) is a newer system in the bulk fuel family. However, our bulk fuel specialist Marines stepped up, and accomplished the mission. From site and bivouac set up, to our dispensing points. Great work Charlie Co Marines!

During annual training, Marines and Sailors had an opportunity to speak to key leadership in the battalion, including: LtCol Dirico, SgtMaj Gottschall, and more. We also had a visit from Chaplain Orr and RP2 Martin.

Also during their visit, LCpl Bey and HN Rodriguez were recognized for their hard work and dedication during annual training.
