-FM 1276 @ Double "A" Lakes - high water but passable

-FM 350 South @ Florida's Kitchen - high water on road but passable

-Lazy Oak Rd. tree on road

-Byrd Rd. at Hwy 146 high water on roads but passable

-Stewart Road/Wiggins Village #1 several roads under water but passable

-Hwy 190 E at Richardson Agriculture Tree and Powerlines Down

-FM 3126 at Blanchard Baptist water on roadway

-1988 at Long King Creek water on roadway

- E Soda at Bluff Creek - impassable

-Double Branch Rd - impassable at Firelane

-Tom Cummings and Hwy 190 East power line down

-Wilson Rd. Trees and debris down -- impassable

-8:55 a.m. Polk County Sheriff's Office reports Johnson Rd is impassable.

Holly Grove- Impassable

350 at Long Tom, water is high, but passable

Weather Warnings or Watches are in effect for most of Deep East Texas today. Tropical Depression Edouard is producing very heavy rainfall and flash flooding in portions of our region. Continue to monitor the weather and heed all advisories issued by local authorities. Never drive through flooded roadways -- Remember: Turn Around - Don't Drown!

Additional information on expected rainfall from Tropical Storm Edouard, issued by the National Weather Service early Tuesday afternoon. The areas of Deep East Texas likely to receive the heaviest rainfall are San Jacinto County, and portions of Polk, Trinity, and Houston counties. Remember: The exact path the storm takes will determine where the higher rainfall totals occur. Even slight movements can make a significant difference, so everyone in the year should stay alert, monitor your local weather, and heed any alerts or advisories issued by your local authorities.

We will be celebrating DETCOG’s 60th anniversary at 10am this morning in the upstairs courtroom of the courthouse in Groveton. Come enjoy some refreshments and join in on the celebration! The organizational meeting for DETCOG was held in this same courtroom in November of 1966.

Here we were 9 years ago today. Who could have predicted all that would follow? Recovery is still a work in progress for many. We are continuing our efforts to make Deep East Texas more resilient to better cope with future storms. And this serves as a reminder that we are currently right in the middle of the 2026 hurricane season. Don't let your gusrd down. If you haven't already, prepare today!
