9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

For those who are unable to attend today’s 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony in person, we will be going LIVE so our community can join us from wherever they are.

Please join us as we come together to remember and honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and recognize the courage and sacrifice of the first responders, military members, and others who served in the days and years that followed.

Ludlow Power Choice: Understanding Your Current Electricity Rate
The Town of Ludlow is pleased to share an important update about electricity supply costs. As of August 1, 2026, residents enrolled in the Ludlow Power Choice program are benefiting from significantly lower electricity supply rates compared with Eversource’s Basic Service.
Current residential supply rates are:
• Ludlow Power Choice – Basic: 12.891¢/kWh
• Eversource Basic Service – Residential: 17.3¢/kWh
This represents a difference of approximately 4.4¢ per kWh, with Ludlow Power Choice Basic currently about 25% lower than Eversource’s residential Basic Service supply rate.
For a household using 600 kWh per month, the cost comparison is:
• Ludlow Power Choice Basic: $77.35 per month
• Eversource Basic Service: $103.80 per month
• Monthly savings: approximately $26.45
At this usage level, that equals about $317 per year in savings based on current rates.
Another key advantage of Ludlow Power Choice is rate stability. All program options offer fixed prices through November 2027, protecting residents from seasonal fluctuations in Eversource’s Basic Service supply rates, which adjust periodically based on market conditions.
The program also provides choices for residents interested in renewable energy:
• Ludlow Basic: 12.891¢/kWh
• Ludlow Greener: 13.278¢/kWh (80% renewable)
• Ludlow 100% Green: 14.078¢/kWh (100% renewable)
Please note: Your relationship with Eversource does not change. Eversource will continue to deliver your electricity, maintain the poles and wires, restore power during outages, and issue your monthly bill. Ludlow Power Choice only affects the supply portion of your electricity bill.
While rates are subject to change and future savings compared with Eversource cannot be guaranteed, Ludlow Power Choice offers residents the security of a fixed electricity supply price through November 2027.
