One Lane Road with Flag Control - HMA Paving

Inman Road & Lakeshore Drive will be reduced to one lane with flag control on Wednesday June 3rd for HMA paving. Please be careful when traveling on the below roads and expect delays. The HMA paving is anticipated to take 1 day and is weather dependent.

Update: The DPW has flushed the hydrants in the area, and they have reported clear water running after the flushings.

If residents notice discoloration now or over the weekend, run cold water for several minutes and it should clear up. If the discoloration persists, call 231-845-1277 and dial extension 238.

Reminder of Upcoming Jebavy Drive Bridge Repair Project and Detour
Begins June 1st

Notice of upcoming Jebavy Drive Bridge Repair Project & Detour Route

The Jebavy Drive Bridge will be closed to all traffic starting June 1, 2026. The detour route is Jagger Road to M-116 to Bryant Road.

The Bridge project is a preventative maintenance project that will repair minor problems at a lower cost to prevent future more costly repairs. The bridge rehabilitation project includes replacement of the expansion joint, beam repairs, guardrail repairs and epoxy overlay on the concrete that will extend the life of the bridge deck. The bridge project is scheduled to start June 1st with a detour on Jagger, M-116, to Bryant Road.
It is anticipated that the bridge will be closed to all traffic from June 1st to June 19th. It is anticipated to be open to traffic during the 28-day cure time from mid-June through the July 4th holiday weekend. The bridge project will be closed to all traffic again from July 8th for approximately 2 weeks.
The final completion date is August 1, 2026. The project will cost
approximately $350,000.

Water Alert, Wednesday, May 28th

We have been made aware of an issue that is causing residents' water to be discolored in the Hillside Drive and North Jebavy area.

The DPW will begin flushing hydrants in the area to help alleviate the discoloration and there are no known health hazards with the discolored water.

If discoloration occurs, run cold water for a few minutes and it should clear up.

ITC To Conduct Aerial Patrols of Transmission Lines: June 12-17

ITC will be conducting aerial patrols of the high-voltage transmission structures, lines and equipment in Michigan from May 27-June 30, weather permitting. The helicopter patrols are conducted to provide an overall status of the overhead transmission system that is operated by ITC’s Michigan operating entities, ITCTransmission and Michigan Electric Transmission Company, LLC (METC).

The aerial inspections will cover nearly all the Lower Peninsula, including all or part of the following counties (date ranges are approximate):

June 12-17: Hillsdale, Branch, St. Joseph, Calhoun, Kalamazoo, Van Buren, Barry, Allegan, Kent, Ottawa, Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana, Mason
