Today, VFW Post 2466 was honored to once again sponsor lunch for the Lubbock VA Women Veterans Conference. It is always a privilege to support an event that celebrates and connects the incredible women who have answered the call to serve our nation.

Women veterans have worn the uniform in every era and every branch of service, often overcoming unique challenges while continuing to lead, serve, and pave the way for future generations. Their strength, resilience, and unwavering commitment are an inspiration to us all.

One of the greatest gifts of gatherings like these is the opportunity for women veterans to come together, share their stories, build friendships, and remind one another that they are never alone. The bonds forged through military service do not end when we hang up the uniform—they continue through communities like this one.

VFW Post 2466 is deeply grateful for the opportunity to give back to those who have given so much. Thank you to the Lubbock VA for hosting this important conference and for your continued commitment to serving the women veterans of our community.

To all the women who have served—thank you for your sacrifice, your courage, and your dedication. We are proud to stand beside you and proud to call you our sisters. 🇺🇸

Today was one of those days that reminds us why honoring our Veterans is so important.

Through the incredible mission of Dream Flights, six of our Veterans were given the opportunity to take to the skies in a beautifully restored World War II-era aircraft. As they soared above the West Texas State Veterans Cemetery, many reflected on their service, their sacrifices, and the memories of those who served alongside them.

Watching their faces light up as they experienced this flight was truly remarkable. The smiles, the stories, and the emotions shared throughout the day were something none of us will soon forget. These brave men have given so much for our country, and it was an honor to see them celebrated in such a meaningful way.

A heartfelt thank you to Dream Flights for their unwavering commitment to honoring America's heroes. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Sports Clips, American United, and all of the sponsors who make these unforgettable experiences possible.

Special thanks to Million Air for graciously allowing the use of their outstanding facilities today and helping create a first-class experience for our Veterans. Your hospitality played a vital role in making this day so special.

To our Veterans: thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your legacy. Today, the skies belonged to you.

On Monday, we gathered at Resthaven to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.

Memorial Day is more than just a holiday — it is a day of remembrance for those who made the ultimate sacrifice defending the freedoms we enjoy every day. Their courage, selflessness, and devotion to duty will never be forgotten.

Thank you to everyone who came out to pay tribute to our fallen heroes and to help ensure their memory lives on. Your presence and support mean a great deal as we continue this important tradition of remembrance and respect.

May we always remember those who never made it home.

This week, we had the honor of presenting Carroll with his new Amtryke sponsored by Veterans of Foreign Wars, VFW Post 2466, Lubbock, Tx
Carroll served in the Army, where he injured his right knee, and he’s continued to push forward with grit and determination—even after a right hip replacement. Staying active is important to him, whether he’s out doing yard work or getting in his daily mile-long walk.

His new Amtryke will help him keep moving, stay strong, and enjoy the active lifestyle he works so hard to maintain.

Please help us congratulate Carroll and thank him for his service. We’re proud to support his journey toward even greater independence and wellness.
