With our CAPstone event, Family Fun Day, in cooperation with Sierra Valley Little League, Child Abuse Prevention Month 2026 comes to an end. But our efforts to strengthen families and build protective factors into our Sierra County communities continues with passion and joy.
What fun it was to play with purpose! We gave away bike helmets, PFD's (life jackets), did crafts and games with prizes.
Thanks to all our partners and volunteers who came out to make Family Fun Day such a success: Sierra Valley Little League, Sierra County Public Health Department, Sierra County Victim Services, First 5 Sierra, Plumas Rural Services, Healthy Babies, U.S. Forest Service-Tahoe National Forest, Partnership Healthplan of California, Sierra-Plumas Joint Unified School District To***co Prevention Program, Sierra Nevada Children's Services, Prevent Child Abuse America
