🎓 Congratulations, Connor Decker! 🎓

We would like to take a moment to recognize and celebrate one of our Junior Firefighters, Connor Decker, on his graduation from St. Johnsbury Academy as a member of the Class of 2026!

Connor joined our department in the fall of 2024 and has been a valued member of our team. While we are sad to see him move on from this chapter, we are incredibly proud and excited for what lies ahead.

Connor will be attending the U.S. Air Force Academy Preparatory School in Colorado Springs, Colorado, as he begins the next step in his journey toward serving our nation.

Please join us in congratulating Connor on his accomplishments, thanking him for his dedication to our department, and wishing him the very best as he embarks on this exciting new adventure.

🚨Last night we reviewed foam operations! Simulating a car fire, we set up a hose line and operated class B foam. We trained on both Class A foam as it’s used for house and brush fires 🔥 and Class B is used for flammable liquids.

🚨Last Tuesday night, our training was focused on wildland fires and we conducted practical scenarios at the Waterford school. Before starting a burn 🔥, please remember to contact the fire warden: Kevin Colby at 802-535-8722 or assistant fire warden: Adam Aremburg at 802-274-2065 to obtain a burn permit, the department thanks you in advance 👍

Waterford Fire is currently on scene of a truck fire on I-93 northbound. The highway is shut down at this time to allow for firefighting operations and to ensure safety. Please avoid the area and seek alternate routes. Waterford E1 and T1 are operating on scene.
