Grain bin safety is a critical issue for farmers across the nation. Each year, preventable tragedies occur when individuals become trapped in flowing grain. It only takes seconds to be engulfed, turning a routine task into a life-or-death emergency. Tonight the department toured a local farm to learn how grain bins work.

Huge shout out to the Coitsville Township road department for keeping the fire department lots cleared today allowing us to be ready to get our apparatus out quickly. The station has been staffed since 8AM for any emergency needs. We have some amazing members in the community who were willing to cover the township today. Also a big shout out to our friends Thomas Mesaros Towing today for always having our backs. Today was definitely a great example of teamwork across the board with this winter storm
