🚧 Centralville Construction Update: Week of August 31

Construction will continue near VFW Parkway and along Beacon Street, Bunker Hill Avenue, Kirk Street, French Street, and Hildreth Street.

Planned work includes water main and service improvements, sewer and drainage installation, rock drilling, and controlled blasting. A water shutdown is scheduled near 20th Street and Beacon Street on Thursday, September 3. The contractor’s schedule also includes ongoing 24-hour road closures on portions of Bunker Hill Avenue and Hildreth Street.

Please follow posted signs, use caution near active work zones, and allow extra travel time.

Detours today: Hildreth (Ludlam to Eustis) Barker Ave ( Billings to Ludlam) local traffic only on By and Sutherland. Bunker Hill (Lakeview to Hildreth).Please note as this has been brought up why pave only to dig it up again. Temporary paving on Bunker Hill yesterday and today. Will be dug up again during final restoration September 2027. Concrete sidewalk to be restored then.
