School starts on Wednesday, September 2nd for Lowell Public Schools. The LPD encourages students walking, biking, or riding the bus to school to follow the safety tips below.

The LPD would also like to remind everyone to drive safely as there will be a significant increase in buses and pedestrian traffic around the city. Additionally, motor vehicle operators should slow down in school zones and be prepared to stop when bus lights are activated.

We’re excited to share that teacher assignment postcards for the 2026–2027 school year have been mailed! 📬

Every student will receive a postcard in the mail revealing who their teacher will be by the end of the week. Keep an eye on your mailbox!

All Preschool and Kindergarten families are invited to join us for a Back to School transition celebration on Wednesday August 26 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Boarding House Park.

Early Release & Last Day of School
Tomorrow, June 23rd, is an Early Release Day and the last day of school.
- Student dismissal will begin at 1:20 PM
- Please make sure your child knows how they will be getting home
- There will be no Pre-K classes on this date
