The City of Lowell was honored to join our neighbors in Town of Ranlo this morning as we remembered the lives lost, the heroes who served, and the sacrifices that continue 25 years later.

Today, the City of Lowell joins communities across our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honoring the courage of the first responders, service members, and everyday citizens who answered that day with bravery and compassion.

We invite our community to observe a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m. and to honor Patriot Day through service, kindness, and care for one another.

We remember. We honor. We serve.

September is National Preparedness Month.

At Tuesday’s meeting, the Lowell City Council encouraged residents to take a few simple steps to be ready for an emergency: make a plan, keep basic supplies on hand, stay informed, and check on neighbors who may need help.

A prepared community is a stronger community!
