Crews had a great Friday afternoon out in the community today. Our crew spent some time at Lowell Elementary’s Field Day, and brought along a big sprinkler to help the kids cool off in the heat. It’s always a good day when we get to hear that kind of laughter and see the smiles that come with it.

Meanwhile, another crew was at Kathleen Johnson Memorial Park, where they had the chance to visit with students from Founders Classical Academy. Crews enjoyed getting to talk with them, answer their questions, and share a little insight into what we do and why we do it.

We’re grateful for every opportunity to connect with the young people in our community. Thanks to all the students and staff who welcomed us today—you made our Friday a whole lot brighter.

🚨Lowell Residents - We Need Your Help!🚨

Do you have an AED located at your home, business, church, or other facility?
If so, we encourage you to register your device with the PulsePoint AED Registry.

Accurate AED location information helps first responders and trained community members quickly locate life‑saving equipment during cardiac emergencies. Registering your AED only takes a moment and can make a critical difference when seconds matter.

Please note: For AEDs located in private residences, the specific location is only visible to select, trained individuals — and only if a cardiac emergency occurs within a designated radius of that residence. This ensures both community safety and resident privacy.

To add your AED to the registry, please visit: aedregistry.pulsepoint.org
Thank you for helping keep our community safer and better prepared.

🚨REMINDER THIS CHANGE IS TAKING PLACE TODAY, PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY🚨

🚨INTERSECTION CHANGE 🚨

Beginning Monday, March 9, 2026, the following intersections will convert to 4‑WAY STOPS:

• W. Monroe (AR264) at Bellview/Springcreek
• Bellview at Zion Church Ave.

These updates are part of the ARDOT traffic control plan for the upcoming roundabout construction and are necessary to slow traffic and protect workers in the area. With increased detour traffic expected on Bellview, the Zion Church intersection is also being updated to improve safety for pedestrians, park visitors, and nearby neighborhoods.

Lowell Public Works has added dedicated turn lanes at Zion Church and N. Goad Springs to support the increased traffic. LED alert signs are being placed today, with rumble strips and LED stop signs to follow next week.

Please help us share this information so the community has time to adjust. These decisions are made with one priority: life safety as our city continues to grow.
