➡️ Solid Waste & Recycling Office Hours Update

Due to temporary staffing shortages, the Solid Waste & Recycling Office will operate with adjusted public hours through August. The office will be open Monday through Friday from 10:00AM - 4:00PM.

Residents may continue to call the office - (978) 674-4309 - and leave a message, or visit Lowell311 - https://lowellma.gov/1977/Lowell-311 - for assistance. Staff will be conducting field inspections and repair work during morning hours.

♻️ This change also impacts the Recycling Compactor schedule. The compactor will remain open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, but extended Tuesday evening hours will be suspended through August.

Palmer St, from Middle St to Merrimack St, will be closed to traffic on Saturday, June 20, from 10:00AM - 6:00PM.

The closure will allow for the Bicentennial Stage on Palmer Street, featuring Bearly Dead. At 3:00PM, stop by Palmer Street to hear live music in honor of Lowell's Bicentennial year.

The Concord River Wall project in front of the Lowell Memorial Auditorium is now complete! 🎉

The project included repairs to the existing river wall, replacement of the railing, installation of new sidewalks, restoration of the grassed area, and upgraded site lighting.

These improvements enhance safety, accessibility, and the appearance of this important corridor while preserving a key piece of Lowell's infrastructure for years to come.

Roadway milling and paving operations on the following streets is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17, to Friday, June 19, between the hours of 7:00AM and 5:00PM.

• Quebec St

As a reminder, vehicles cannot be parked in the street during work hours. Temporary No Parking signs have been posted in advance of the work.

Residents should expect to see and hear construction equipment, backup alarms, trucks, and material deliveries during the scheduled work periods. Every effort will be made to minimize inconvenience and maintain access wherever possible.
