Congratulations Cooper! He has reached his 1000 book goal in our "1000 Books Before Kindergarten" program! Way to go!
What is "1000 Books Before Kindergarten"? This is a free program we are offering our families that encourages you to read 1,000 books with your child before he/she enters Kindergarten— a goal that experts say children need to help them read for themselves.
One of the best ways to encourage reading and learning is to share books every day. Reading to your child each day helps develop a solid foundation, which is the key to school and learning success!
This program is for children ages Birth– to pre-kindergarten. Each child will be provided with their own binder so that you can log all of the books you’ve read!
Registration is required. Come see Miss Jackie in the Children’s area to sign up!
For every 100 books logged, come to the library for a small prize and have your picture taken to be displayed on our “ Wall of Readers!”
After you and your child have reached your goal of 1,000 books, come to the library and your child can pick up their very own Certificate of Completion, a tote, and a free book!
