📌 Route 9 and Route 287 Roundabout
Please be aware of the construction at Route 9 and Route 287 which may significantly impact daily commutes of drivers who travel roadways connecting to this intersection. Initial construction has begun for the initial phases of the project, which includes a new roundabout at the intersection of Route 9 and Route 287 and widened roadway approaches to the intersection. Current construction activity includes:
• Installing temporary signage
• Clearing and removing roots and stumps
• Implementing erosion and sediment controls
🦺 Traffic Shifts and Lane Closures
Throughout the construction, significant traffic shifts are anticipated. The first impact is expected in early November 2025. Construction is expected to continue through the summer of 2027. Temporary signage will be installed to guide drivers safely through the construction zone. Drivers are advised to pay attention to these signs, as they will provide critical information about lane closures, detours and speed limits. Construction zones can be unpredictable, with workers and equipment present.
Drivers should reduce their speed, maintain a safe following distance, and be prepared for sudden stops or changes in traffic patterns. Drivers should remain vigilant, as these shifts will impact travel patterns in the area.
