Spring is Here! We have been out in full force getting everything cleaned up and ready for our 5th growing season here at the Lovettsville Community Gardens. This young volunteer was out today spraying a vinegar solution to kill the hard to mow fence line. Great things are coming this year at the community gardens! Today we are daydreaming about the warm days to come at the Community Gardens! We look forward to inviting the Lovettsville community into the Gardens this year. The Lovettsville Community Gardens are looking for weekly volunteers to help with maintaining the space inside the fence of the Gardens. The weekly duties include mowing of the grass (mower and fuel is provided and housed inside the Garden Shed) and w**ding of the butterfly garden and donation plots...

Workday at the Community Gardens is underway. Join us at 1pm for our first workday of the year! We will have a rototilling demo by Jamie's Small Engine in the afternoon. Huge thank you to Meredith Kopp for the composted manure.

The Gardens will be open tonight for volunteers who might want to come and work on mowing grass, w**d whacking and pulling w**ds. We will be there 6:30pm-dark. Also feel free to join us for a day of service tomorrow... drop by anytime, check the Task List for jobs and help us get the Gardens cleaned up for the Fall.

The Lovettsville Garden Club and Lovettsville Co-op Market are teaming up to collect fresh produce for Feed Loudoun - Plant a Row at two locations now! Please drop off your fresh produce, fruit and egg donations to either our Community Gardens location or at the Co-op Outdoor Market location every Saturday from now until September.

Community Gardens Location collects 9:30am-11am

Lovettsville Co-op Outdoor Market Location collects 10am-1pm
