SAVE THE DATE - Join Winnebago County Sheriff's Office and Loves Park Police Department for National Night Out 2026, a night dedicated to building stronger neighborhoods, safer communities, and positive connections between residents and local law enforcement!

Tuesday, August 4th
Machesney Park Town Center, 8750 N. 2nd Street
5PM – 7PM

This FREE community event will feature opportunities to connect with local police officers, community organizations, families, and neighbors in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

We are currently looking for:
Community organizations
Non-profit groups
Local partners who want to participate and engage with the community

This is NOT a vendor sales event. We are seeking groups and individuals who want to volunteer, provide resources, activities, or community engagement opportunities.

What a great community event for FREE

We have a great event in the works for June 4th, 2026! Our annual Lights and Ladders is going to be a night filled with experiencing the different things our Loves Park Police Department and Loves Park Fire Department personnel do on a daily basis.🚓🚒 Stop by and check out the many interactive stations we have planned for the event, including:

Police K9 Demonstration
Drone Station
DUI Demonstration
Use of Force Simulation
Mock Traffic Stop
Crime Scene Investigation

From the fire department, you’ll find:
Vehicle Extrication Demonstration
Firefighter Fitness Drills
Hose Station
Gear Station

Authentic German cuisine will be provided by Cafe 20 out of Marengo.

Join us for a full day of classic Oktoberfest fun! Enjoy Cultural Booths, Souvenir Booths, a Children’s Area, the Stein-Holding Contest, the Tapping of the Keg with Mayor Jury, the Crowning of Miss Oktoberfest 2026, Authentic German Dancing, and of course, plenty of bier!

We’re packing a lot into one day of awesome German-themed fun.
