There will be a public display of fireworks for a private family reunion tonight July 5th in the field west of the middle school. Please remember that fireworks are prohibited in town limits after July 4th unless a permit has been acquired by a licensed professional pyrotechnic.

To the Citizens of Lovell,

Police Chief Dan Laffin announces his retirement. We would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for the tremendous efforts and dedication that Chief Laffin brought to our community. We wish him all the best in his retirement.

The Mayor, Chief and Town Administrator have been in close contact and discussed the future of the agency and all agree that the perfect choice for his successor is current Police Patrol Sergeant, Roger Haney. The Mayor intends to appoint Roger Haney as interim Chief of Police. Dan Laffin's formal retirement date is set at the end of January 2024.

Roger Haney has a wealth of experience and has been an integral part of the advancements of the Lovell Police Department over the last 6 years. He holds a Professional Peace Officer Certification and looks forward to continuing the growth and exceptional police service the Lovell Police Department provides to our citizens.
