Huge thank you to Jordan and Bryce from ASAP Cincinnati for joining our quarterly officers meeting today to talk about DBT and its role in strengthening relationships, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance. Their insight into these skills will help our team better support one another and the community by investing more intentionally in our human capital and overall wellness. We appreciate the partnership and look forward to putting these tools into practice.

Controlled chaos:

That’s what an emergency scene often tends to look like from the outside. With so many different tasks being performed at once, it can seem hectic. But that’s why we train! 🚨

DTFR members on each unit day participated in multiple vehicle extrication, and stabilization scenarios. 🚙 The critical thinking art of removing a vehicle from around an entrapped person.

Know that whatever emergency scene we encounter; our personnel will be able to identify, plan, and execute, the most efficient rescue techniques to save lives. 🚒 🚑 💨

We extend our deepest gratitude to the friends and families of the fallen, and to all past, present, and future members of our Armed Forces. Your commitment, courage, and selflessness do not go unnoticed. Today, we remember those who gave everything to protect the freedoms we hold dear.

We are especially proud to recognize our fellow members of DTFR who have served, and those who continue to serve in our nations armed forces.

From all of us at DTFR, thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your unwavering commitment to this nation.

🎉 Happy 223rd Birthday, Deerfield Township! 🎉

Today we join in celebrating the rich history and strong community that make Deerfield Township such a special place to call home. From its establishment on May 10, 1803, to the thriving community it is today, Deerfield Township has continued to grow through the dedication, pride, and support of its residents.

As your fire department, we are proud to serve and protect this incredible township every day. Thank you to Trustee Lelle Hedding for sharing this great piece of Deerfield history and helping recognize the significance of today’s milestone — especially as it coincides with Mother’s Day this year.

Here’s to 223 years of community, service, and tradition — and many more to come! 🚒❤️

👋 Deerfield,

🤩 Here’s some fun synchronicity about today…

💐 Today is Deerfield Township’s 223rd birthday! And this year it perfectly coincides with Mother’s Day. These two celebrations won’t line up again for another 11 years!

🦌 Here’s our quick birth story. (It feels fitting for today, y’all!)

📜 March 1, 1803: Ohio becomes a state.

📜 May 1, 1803: Warren County is officially carved out of Hamilton County.

📜 Tuesday, May 10, 1803: The first county judges meet and officially establish Deerfield Township.

🤩 Early Deerfield settlements date back to the mid-1790s, making us one of the oldest continuously settled communities in the Northwest Territory.

🎂 Happy 223rd Birthday, Deerfield Township! 🥳 Proud to call this historic township home.

🏡 Were you born here, moved here, or just love visiting here? 🦌

Local 4286 is proud to announce the placement of Carter Bags on all of our ambulances.

These bags contain sensory support items such as fidgets, noise-reducing headphones, and other tools designed to help patients experiencing sensory overload, including neurodivergent individuals, those with learning impairments, and anyone who may benefit from sensory management during emergency care.

This project reflects our commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to every member of our community.

A special thank you to union members Collin Mellendorf and Brad Crowthers for organizing and driving this project forward. We would also like to thank Jessie Woodruf for her educational lecture on sensory management and for introducing these bags to our department.

We are grateful for everyone involved in helping make our ambulances more accessible, understanding, and supportive for the patients we serve.
