Staff Spotlight: Meet Miss Pettorino! 🌟
Let’s give a big, warm welcome to Miss Pettorino, one of our amazing 4th and 5th grade teachers here at Namaqua Elementary! Originally from Colorado Springs, Miss Pettorino now lives right here in Loveland. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in December 2024 and is bringing her passion for learning to our school for her very first year at Namaqua (and her 3rd year in education overall)!
When she isn't in the classroom inspiring our students, you might find her reading, writing stories, playing golf, painting, playing video games, or riding her bike! At home, she loves spending time with her sweet cat, Mipha, whom she rescued in 2025. A few of her absolute favorite things include the color pink, an ice-cold Dr. Pepper, sour candy, Chick-fil-A, and adorable Highland cows 🐮💖!

Meet Ms. Maurer, Academic Interventionist at Namaqua Elementary! 🌲✨
With 18 years in education and 4 wonderful years right here at Namaqua, she loves helping students learn and grow every day. 📚🍎

Off the clock, Ms. Maurer is an avid outdoors enthusiast who loves hiking, camping, painting, and traveling to National Parks. She's equally happy at home surrounded by her house plants, good books, handmade art, and her favorite companion: her black Lab, Chaco. Fueling her days with coffee, bubbly water, and a little chocolate, she brings warmth and energy wherever she goes. Say hello to Ms. Maurer next time you see her around school!
