Officer Horace has built a remarkable career since joining TDCJ in 2008! In 2019 she stepped into the Restrictive Housing Necessities Officer role and was promoted to General Population Property Officer in 2021. 👮‍♀️💯 Her positivity and conduct make her an essential part of the team! 🙌

The Wainwright Unit recently held a Stop the Drugs Rally with assistance from the Chaplaincy and Volunteer Services Division. Hundreds of participants from our population heard testimony and encouraging words from CID and CVSD Leadership as well as volunteers and former Field Ministers.

This event inspired hope amongst the men and encouraged them to become involved in programming and courses offered across the facility.

We are thankful for all who assisted, attended, and participated in making this event a success.

Look at Team Wainwright!

A group of staff traveled to participate in the Region 3 soccer tournament this weekend, and in a fierce competition finished in 2nd place.

The Wainwright Unit recently hosted a graduation for students of Lee College who recently completed coursework and career skills certificates including culinary, construction, and automotive!

Our facility is proud to be able to host events such as these and celebrate the achievements of our population. These men were celebrated by TDCJ staff and Lee College faculty as well as their family members.
