Europe Trip 2026 – Update 🇪🇸

Day 9: Barcelona
• Relaxing morning at the hotel with breakfast, a short walk to the beach, and some pool time
• Lunch at Els Portxos
• Guided tour of La Sagrada Família — another incredible Roman Catholic basilica designed by Antoni Gaudí
• Bus tour of Barcelona featuring the Arc de Triomf, La Pedrera, and other historic buildings from the World Fair
• Walking tour of Park Güell — one of Antoni Gaudí’s most famous masterpieces
• Free time for dinner and exploring the city
• Flamenco evening filled with amazing dancing, music, and singing
• Bus ride back to the hotel to pack for our last night in Europe

An unforgettable day to cap off an incredible trip. As our European adventure comes to an end, we're grateful for the unforgettable experiences, incredible sights, and countless memories made along the way.

Day 8: Madrid to Barcelona
• Early wake-up to travel to Madrid’s train station
• Took a Renfe high-speed train to Barcelona, enjoying amazing views of the Spanish countryside along the way
• Walking tour of Barcelona, including Las Ramblas and La Boqueria, a vibrant open-air market filled with fresh fruit, local delicacies, seafood, and tapas
• Free time for lunch and to explore the Las Ramblas area
• Barcelona bike tour with incredible views of the Mediterranean Sea
• More free time to explore Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar, and the Cathedral of Barcelona
• Spent a few hours swimming in the Mediterranean Sea and relaxing on the beach — a huge highlight for a group from Nebraska!
• Walked back to the hotel for a buffet dinner

Another unforgettable day filled with European adventures, breathtaking sights, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Day 7: Madrid & Toledo

• Breakfast at the hotel — the BEST so far!
• Guided tour of the Royal Palace Museum
• Lunch at Duduá Palacio — another favorite
• Bus ride to Toledo, the historic medieval city that once served as the capital of the Spanish Empire
• Watched a skilled craftsman at the forge demonstrate how a sword is heated, shaped, and forged by hand at Damasquinados Suárez
• Free time to explore Toledo’s charming cobblestone streets, local shops, and breathtaking views
• Bus ride back to the hotel for another night’s rest before an early morning departure to Barcelona

It was another incredible day filled with European adventures, unforgettable experiences, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Europe Trip 2026 – Update 🇮🇹🇪🇸

Day 6: Florence to Madrid

• Early morning wake-up for our international flight to Madrid
• Walking tour of some of Madrid’s most iconic city-center sites, including Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Mercado de San Miguel, and the famous El Oso y el Madroño (Statue of the Bear and the Strawberry Tree)
• Free time to explore Madrid’s shops and local atmosphere
• Participated in a Madrid cooking class competition, preparing paella and a variety of traditional Spanish tapas
• Ended the day with a very tired — and very quiet — bus ride to the hotel

It was another day filled with adventure, new experiences, and memories that will last a lifetime!

Day 5: Florence

• Breakfast at the hotel
• Guided walking tour of Florence’s most iconic landmarks, including Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio (the only bridge in Florence to survive World War II), the stunning Basilica of Santa Croce, and the Florence Baptistery
• Free time to explore Florence, enjoy lunch, and indulge in more delicious gelato
• Participated in an immersive scavenger hunt throughout the city - So fun!
• Walked to La Vecchia Firenze for a wonderful group dinner

Another unforgettable day filled with adventure, history, laughter, and memories made in beautiful Florence!
