🚨 REMINDER: Tornado Drill Today – 10:00 AM 🚨

Today is the statewide tornado drill as part of Nebraska Severe Weather Awareness Week.

🔊 Sirens will be sounding around 10:00 AM in communities across Region 26.

🏠 When you hear the sirens, take a moment to practice your tornado safety plan:
✔️ Move to your designated safe place
✔️ Review your plan with those around you
✔️ Make sure everyone knows what to do in a real emergency

⚠️ This is only a TEST, but practicing now helps keep you prepared when severe weather strikes.

Stay safe and take a few minutes today to be ready!

NPPD notified the city office, this morning that the planned power outage for March 1st is canceled due to weather. We will update when a new date has been scheduled.

⚠️TRANSFORMER UPDATE ⚠️
The repairs to the permanent transformer at the substation have been made and passed testing. NPPD will be reconnecting the transformer Sunday, March 1st. Power is expected to be out between the hours of 1pm-6pm.
