The 2026–2027 Mayor’s Youth Council of Winston County is officially underway!
After a two-year pause, the Council is back, bringing high school students from across Winston County together to learn, serve and lead.
Council members recently gathered at the Winston County Library for Orientation and the start of a year focused on leadership, service, civic engagement and connection. Through the Council, students will have opportunities to strengthen their communication and leadership skills, learn more about local government, serve their communities and use their voices on issues that matter to young people across Winston County.
We are proud of these students for stepping forward and choosing to be part of something that reaches beyond their individual schools and communities.
We are also grateful to the Founding Sponsors whose support is helping make these opportunities possible:

We also thank our Youth Leader Sponsors, parents and community supporters for helping make this year possible.

One county. Different schools. One place to learn, serve and lead together.
