🐦 There's a new Chimney Swift Tower at Joe Creason Park!
Unlike many birds, Chimney Swifts cannot perch on branches. Instead, they cling to vertical surfaces such as chimneys, hollow trees, and specially designed structures like this one.
🌳As natural nesting sites continue to decline, towers like these provide safe spaces for nesting and roosting. The tower is also designed to retain heat, helping these birds conserve energy throughout the season.
🛝Stop by Joe Creason Park and check it out for yourself!

🦆🌎 Healthy parks start with healthy habitats.
Every duck in our parks plays a role in a larger environmental story. Ducks support biodiversity by spreading seeds, contributing to food webs, and helping maintain healthy wetland ecosystems.
When we protect wildlife habitats, we help entire ecosystems thrive.
