Today we pause to remember those lost on that blue September day, 25 years ago.
As the events unfolded for the world to see, countless firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, police officers and normal civilians rushed to the aid of their fellow human. On that day the world witnessed unfathomable suffering but also the reassurance that together, we can stand tall and help one another in our darkest hours.
We honor the sacrifices made by so many and the tragic losses still felt today. We will never forget.

Today, we honor the 343 FDNY members and one New York City fire patrolman killed on Sept. 11, 2001, the thousands of others who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks, and all those who have died since from WTC-related illnesses.
