This year we are planning on focusing all of our Park(ing) Day efforts on the ReSurfaced: A Pop-Up Plaza on Main (http://resurfaced.org). We would like anyone interested in participating in Park(ing) Day to get involved in ReSurfaced to build out the site and start reimagining what we can do with our abundant surface parking lots and vacant spaces in Louisville. A lot of things are happening right now, but we will start having community-build events in the middle of August to create a unique 6 week long event space, outdoor cafe, and beer garden. Movies, Pecha Kucha, concerts, dj dance parties, theater... maybe a Pop-Up Town Hall... a lot is possible with this space!
