🚨ENDANGERED MISSING PERSONS ALERT: Our Missing Persons Unit has issued a "Golden Alert" for Mary Gordan, age 74. Mary was last seen near the Kroger next to the Jefferson Mall on the Outer Loop around 1pm on 9/2/26.

She is in need of medical attention and is possibly confused. Unknown clothing description.

🚨ENDANGERED MISSING PERSONS ALERT: Our Missing Persons Unit has issued an "Operation Return Home" for Quran Peyton, age 20. Quran was last seen on September 3, 2026, around 11AM, walking from his home in the 2900 block of Virginia Ave.

He is autistic and may need medical attention. He may be lost & disoriented. Last seen wearing black shirt, grey shorts, red sandals.

📣 LMPD 7th Division Community Meeting – You’re Invited!

Major Andrew Williams, commander of the Seventh Division, is hosting an open community meeting on Tuesday September 8th at 6:00 PM at the Central Government Center (7201 Outer Loop).

Residents of the 7th Division—and anyone interested in what’s happening in our community—are encouraged to attend. This is your chance to hear updates directly from LMPD, share what you’d like to see from your police department, and discuss any concerns about crime or neighborhood issues.

This is an open, honest dialogue with Major Williams and officers from the 7th Division. Your voice matters, and we hope to see you there.

One conversation can change a life.

For nearly an hour, Officer McKinley remained on the Big Four Bridge, speaking with a man who was considering ending his life. Through patience, empathy, and determination, he built trust and offered hope during an incredibly difficult moment.

After 56 minutes, the man made the courageous decision to step back to safety. We chopped up the video to save you some time.

We're proud of Officer McKinley for demonstrating what it means to serve our community with compassion and dedication. Moments like these remind us that every life matters.

Yesterday, our 2nd Division Impact Unit executed two search warrants. One was in the 1400 block of Hemlock Ave and the other was in the 3600 block of Georgetown Place in relation to an on-going investigation.

We're gonna stay mum about most of the details but we can tell you that our GOOD GIRL K-9 Goose was on her game. (Pics in comments)

Goose's sniffer found trafficking amounts of co***ne (both crack and powder), street value around $36,000.
