City of Louisville is a Colorado municipality with approximately 20,000 resident

s. The City, incorporated in 1882, lies in Boulder County roughly six miles east of the City of Boulder and 25 miles northwest of Denver. At this time, the City owns, either alone or in conjunction with other governmental entities, approximately 1,700 acres of designated open space. The residential size of the City is not likely to grow significantly as there is little room. Commercial and industrial growth are expected, however, as there is room for both in Centennial Valley and the Colorado Tech Center.

It’s safe to say the Fire Station Block Party was a hit this year! We even got Mayor Leh to join in on the foam party 🫧

This year over 1,200 of you stopped by, a new record for this event! Thank you to Marshall Together for their continued support and sponsorship, and to Louisville Fire Protection District for their partnership.

We’ll see you next year for more fun, food, and hopefully foam 🥳

In the meantime, there’s plenty to do around here this weekend. See you at Community Park tonight for our Summer Concerts in the Park (also supported by Marshall Together) and at Steinbaugh Pavilion tomorrow for Street Faire! Don’t forgot to get all your shopping done at the Farmer’s Market on Saturday.

Honoring Juneteenth at the Louisville Public Library

On June 19, the Louisville Public Library will join our City partners in observing Juneteenth, and the Library will be closed for the holiday.

Juneteenth commemorates the day in 1865 when the last enslaved people in the United States learned of their freedom—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It stands as a powerful reminder of resilience, liberation, and the ongoing pursuit of equity and justice.

For public libraries, Juneteenth deeply aligns with our core values: expanding access to knowledge, uplifting diverse voices, preserving stories that shape our collective understanding, and fostering inclusive spaces where everyone feels seen and valued.

To support learning, reflection, and celebration, we’ve curated a special reading list for all ages: “Celebrating Freedom: Juneteenth Reads for All Ages.” Explore picture books, novels, nonfiction, and more that illuminate Black history, joy, creativity, and community.

You can browse the full list here: https://louisville.marmot.org/MyAccount/MyList/72779

We invite you to spend time with these stories as we honor the past, celebrate the present, and continue working toward a future rooted in equity and belonging. We look forward to welcoming you back when we reopen.

Louisville, we made a mistake.

In April and May, we asked you to schedule your water meter replacement appointment either online or by phone. We sent out emails and mailers. In those communications, we included the wrong phone number. We know... not great. This is not our standard for communicating important project information with you. We understand this error has likely caused confusion and frustration, and we apologize!

See our latest bulletin for the correct phone number as well as options to schedule online or in-person: https://content.govdelivery.com/accounts/COLOUISVILLE/bulletins/41b8df9
