For decades my father, Don Maxon, spent tremendous amounts of time salvaging interesting architectural items from old buildings and stored them in various places on the Lilac Hill property. He had a keen eye for beauty and quality and was into this type of collecting well before it became "cool" like it is today. The property itself is a work of art as he also spent 30 years clearing the overgrown

land and landscaping it with thousands of varieties of flowers, shrubs, evergreen trees, lilacs and crabapples. From April through October there is always color wherever you look.
