It's Watershed Wednesday! We are luck to live in such a water-rich part of the world! Jefferson County has 11 different watersheds that all eventually empty into the Ohio River. Even if you don't live next to a creek, the water in and around your home goes into one of these watersheds and then into the river. Find out which watershed you interact with by visiting www.modelmywatershed.org enter your address! Remember, your actions matter because we all live downstream.

Low Tunnels are a great addition to gardens. Adding hoops with various covers can support many different gardening activities including: reduction pest damage; frost protection and season extension. We will be helping the Shelby Park gardeners bend EMT conduit and install hoops over raised beds. Come learn alongside the gardeners about how low tunnels can support your gardening goals.
This is a WORKshop, which means you will be doing the work alongside Conservation District employees. Please come dressed to work outdoors. Closed toed-shoes, gloves and water and recommended for this activity. If you have questions, please contact Bethany Pratt, Environmental Educator at [email protected].
