The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce has 3 primary focus areas:

Community Development
The Chamber recognizes the importance of building a sense of community. The work of community organizations not only enhances the lives of our citizens, but it also draws visitors and investors to our
towns. The Chamber allocates a great deal of its resources of money, time and expertise towards local organ

izations such as downtown associations, schools, arts groups, festivals, and civic clubs. Business Development
The Chamber also represents the interests of the business community. The Chamber partners with University of Georgia’s Small Business Development Center and local organizations to offer a variety of classes and programs that expand markets and improve the bottom line: Business Series Classes; Business Resource Center; Power Lunch Series; Business Resource Forum. In addition, the Chamber offers Shop-at-Home checks to support local merchants, and is an accredited Better Business Bureau location to help businesses and citizens meet each others’ expectations. Leadership Development
The chamber believes the cornerstone for any great community is leadership. In support of our existing and emerging leaders, the Chamber sponsors Leadership Jefferson County, a three-month course in leadership skills, Eggs & Issues, a breakfast event with legislators and other experts concerning local legislative issues, and Meet the Candidates, where citizens have an opportunity for discussion with local and regional candidates.

SPONSORS are still needed. If you’ve got a heart for children and want to help them as they learn lifelong skills, then we look forward to hearing from you.

Wadley, we need your voice.

The City of Wadley is working on an Urban Redevelopment Plan to help guide future improvements in our community. This plan will look at areas such as housing, deteriorating properties, streets, utilities, parks, playgrounds, downtown development, and future private investment.

This is not just about cleaning up buildings. It is about creating a workable plan for Wadley’s future.

Please take 2 to 3 minutes to complete the survey. Your input will help us better understand what matters most to our citizens.

Survey link is in the first comment below.

Thank you for helping shape Wadley’s future.
