not welfare or charity, but rather a hand up. Our goal is to uplift the Spiritual, Physical and Emotional needs of single parents. We want to empower single parents to seek a better quality of life through pursuing higher education, allowing them to become self-supportive through a new career. BEHIND THE CAPE: FUNDRAISING EDITION

The programs you see at SPARC Hope are made possible by a whole lot of work you don’t see.

Months of planning. Incredible committees and volunteers. Generous sponsors. Auction donations. Early mornings, late nights... and yes, occasionally a cowboy hat or two (shout out to our upcoming fall gala BOOTS & BOWTIES 11/7)!

Every event has one goal, to raise the funds that allow SPARC Hope to keep showing up for single parent families as they work toward their degrees.

And on September 10, Give for Good Louisville becomes the next chapter.

That’s how much grocery assistance SPARC Hope provided to single parent families in just over THREE WEEKS.

For a parent working, raising children AND pursuing a degree, groceries aren’t a small expense. Taking some of that weight off their shoulders means more room to focus on the future they’re working so hard to build.

Annie went on to build a successful career, own her own law firm, served as Board Chair of SPARC Hope, and continues to give back to the organization that once supported her.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: NEED SERVICE HOURS?

We have a new way for you to serve, and this one was made for your generation!

SPARC Hope is looking for students to join us for a special service opportunity surrounding Give for Good Louisville. (Service opportunity can start as early as this week and will continue through September 10th!)

Students can use their creativity, their voice, and the skills they already have to make a real impact for single-parent families in our community. And yes... there may be a little friendly competition and some prizes involved!!

Flexible. Fun. Meaningful. And it can count toward your service hours!
