To keep your freezer flowing properly, make sure you keep your vents uncovered. That way your food stays fresh and at the right temperature!

At LMHA, community starts with our team. 💙

Our annual employee picnic brought colleagues together from across the organization for an afternoon of food, laughs, and connection. It was a chance to catch up with familiar faces, meet new coworkers, and celebrate the people who work every day to serve our residents and communities.

LMHA Day of Service was a success!
LMHA staff spent the day at Avenue Plaza, Parkway Place, H. Temple Spears, and St. Catherine Court focused on cleaning, beautifying, and connecting with residents. Whether lending a helping hand, sharing resources, or simply taking time to engage with community members, our team came together with a shared purpose: making a positive impact.

Days like these remind us that service goes beyond our daily work. It's about building relationships, strengthening communities, and showing residents that we care.

A decade ago, the world lost a legacy, Muhammad Ali. Muhammad Ali was more than a champion boxer, he was an inspiration and pillar to his hometown right here in Louisville.
Back in the 90’s we were honored to have a visit by the legend himself. We know that no matter how many decades go by, his impact is here to stay.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and your mental health matter today and every day.

How do we support our resident's mental health? Thanks to the help of our amazing Resident Support Coordinators!
Resident Support Coordinators help our public housing residents potentially reduce stress and improve overall well-being by connecting residents to supportive resources such as Kynect and KIPDA. They also provide personalized goal planning and budgeting support to help residents build financial stability, reduce anxiety related to housing insecurity, and develop the skills needed to manage monthly rent and other essential expenses in order to maintain stable housing.

Did you know, one of our properties used to be a school?
That's right! Before it was H. Temple Spears, that location was actually the original site of McFerran Elementary.
Inside, you'll still find a lot of original art and remnants.
