Our Douglass Hills Fall Festival Market is bringing together 56 amazing vendors representing all kinds of artistic talents, culinary delights, handmade creations, and homemade goodness!

Today, we’re highlighting two of the special businesses you’ll find at the Market:

✨ Sweet Sisters — one of our five Douglass Hills Young Entrepreneurs, showcasing not only their business but the creativity, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit of our community’s young people. We’re excited to give these young entrepreneurs a place to share their talents and grow their businesses! Be sure to support all 5 of our young residents!

🍠 Georgia’s Sweet Potato Pie Co. — the 2023 Kentucky Minority Small Business of the Year Award Winner, bringing more than delicious sweet treats to the community. Their mission is to bring ALL people together to invest in the lives of children through literacy, with every purchase helping put diverse books directly into the hands of families.

Come out Sunday, September 20 from 11 AM–3 PM and discover all 56 vendors, support local businesses, meet our young entrepreneurs, enjoy great food and live music, and find something special to take home!

The weather is looking great for this Sunday’s Fall Festival Market - City of Douglass Hills. Market hours at 11 am to 3 pm. Yard signs will be placed around the city this afternoon and removed on Monday morning. Please do not move the signs as they are reusable. Thanks so much and see you Sunday in Warren Walker Park!

📣 LMPD 8th Division Community Meeting – You’re Invited!

Major Tiffany Tatum, commander of the Eighth Division, is hosting an open community meeting on Wednesday September 16th at 6:00 PM at the Portland Christian School (8509 Westport Road).

Residents of the 8th Division—and anyone interested in what’s happening in our community—are encouraged to attend. This is your chance to hear updates directly from LMPD, share what you’d like to see from your police department, and discuss any concerns about crime or neighborhood issues.

This is an open, honest dialogue with Major Tatum and officers from the 8th Division. Your voice matters, and we hope to see you there.

Have you been waiting for the Halloween Movie Night announcement? Well here it is! Get ready for a fun-filled fall evening with family, friends, and neighbors at the Douglass Hills Pool Parking Lot on Saturday, October 10!
🚗 Trunk or Treat | 6:00–7:30 PM
Come dressed in your favorite costume and enjoy Trunk or Treat before the movie! Free trick-or-treat bags will be available at the DH City Tent while supplies last.
🎬 DOUBLE FEATURE
🍂 It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown — 7:30 PM
🧛 Hotel Transylvania — 8:00 PM
🍿 Enjoy delicious concessions from Yummy Nosh, and bring your lawn chairs and blankets to get comfortable under the stars.
👻 Want to be part of the Trunk or Treat?
We are looking for families, businesses, organizations, and community members who would like to decorate a vehicle and hand out treats before the movie. It’s a great way to get creative, have fun, and help make this a memorable night for our community! This is not a publicly advertised event - just our Douglass Hills residents, but feel free to invite your friends and families!

🎃🍂 Calling All Trunk-or-Treat Volunteers! 🍂🎃
We have an exciting announcement! The City of Douglass Hills is looking for residents, community members, families, businesses, and organizations to help make our “Movie Night Under the Stars” extra special by hosting a Trunk-or-Treat this fall for our families.
📅 Saturday, October 10
🚗 Trunk-or-Treat: 6:00–7:30 PM
🎬 Movie Begins: At dark
Decorate your vehicle or pop up booth, dress up if you'd like, and hand out treats to families as they enjoy a fun-filled evening before our movie, Hotel Transylvania. Whether your theme is spooky, silly, classic Halloween, or fall-inspired, your creativity will help create a memorable experience for our community!
