Executive Director Opening

Sweet Evening Breeze Inc. (SEB), located in Louisville, Kentucky, is hiring an Executive Director. The mission of SEB is to provide LGBTQ+-affirming services to youth and young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 who are experiencing housing insecurity and/or homelessness. SEB is a newly incorporated 501c-3 non-profit organization and we are seeking a dynamic Executive Director to help us transition to our next phase as a service-providing organization.

Primary responsibilities include: researching and securing a physical location to operate as a homeless shelter, supervising a case manager that coordinates a host homes program, fundraising, acting as a liaison to relevant community organizations, maintaining contacts with community members, communicating with board members, organizing community events, preparation of grant applications, preparation of grant reports, and performing other tasks as needed to achieve the goal of providing LGBTQ+-affirming services to unstably housed youth and young adults.

Experience and understanding of LGBTQ+ youth culture and issues facing unstably housed young people required. Bachelor degree required, Master degree preferred. Experience with crisis response, long-term transitional housing, and/or host homes programs preferred. Salary and benefits are competitive.
