Don’t miss this tomorrow! Please join us for the State of the Union address on Tuesday, February 24th, in the Chao Auditorium. Food and drinks are prohibited inside the auditorium. No RSVP necessary. The State of the Union address will begin at 9:00pm. Doors will open at 8:30pm.

Daniel Cameron Bio:

Daniel Cameron is the CEO of the 1792 Exchange, working to protect free exercise, free speech, and free enterprise and help American corporations return to the winning formula of producing great products and services, not pushing agendas.

Daniel previously served as the 51st Attorney General of Kentucky from 2019 to 2023. He was the first black American elected to a standalone statewide office in Kentucky’s history. Daniel then went on to win the Republican nomination for governor of Kentucky.

He grew up in Elizabethtown, Kentucky and attended the University of Louisville, where he played football for the Cardinals. After graduating from Brandeis School of Law, he clerked for a federal judge. Daniel later served as legal counsel to United States Senator Mitch McConnell.

Daniel and his wife are blessed with two sons: Theodore and Bennett. They reside in Louisville, Kentucky, a place they proudly call home.

The College Republicans at UofL will be having our next student members meeting on Tuesday, November 18, at 6 PM in the Chao Auditorium of Ekstrom Library.

We will be having State Senator Lindsey Tichenor as our guest speaker who will share insights on the upcoming legislative session.

Senator Tichenor represents Kentucky’s 6th State Senate District, bringing experience as a Realtor, Sales Executive, and missionary in the Dominican Republic with Water Step and Life in Abundance Ministries.

Elected to the State Senate in 2023, she serves as Vice Chair of the Senate Education Committee, Liaison Member on the Budget Review Subcommittee on Health & Family Services, and a member of the Health Services, State & Local Government, and Veterans, Military Affairs & Public Protection committees.

College Republicans is excited to announce that our next general meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 29th, at 7PM in the Chao Auditorium!

We are honored to welcome Secretary of State Michael Adams to campus. He will share insights into his work as Secretary of State, along with advice for the next generation of Republican leaders.
