Things started a little wet and windy, but it turned into a beautiful Day at the Downs. We're missing a few Rotarians from this photo. If you didn't make it in (or even if you did!), feel free to post your photos in the comments. And your winnings, if you got lucky today!

Congratulations to President-Elect Barbara Sexton Smith on this well-deserved honor by Louisville Central Community Centers, Inc. Come celebrate with us!

🌟 Congratulations, Barbara Sexton Smith! 🌟

Join us on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, as we celebrate Barbara Sexton Smith at the 2025 Annual Meeting & Lyman T. Johnson Distinguished Leadership Awards.

Barbara Sexton Smith is a distinguished civic leader and lifelong advocate for Louisville. As former Deputy Mayor for Louisville Metro Government, she helped guide the city’s strategic direction while overseeing key offices focused on equity, sustainability, women, immigrant affairs, and human relations. She also served as District 4 Councilwoman, sponsoring legislation that generated $1.2 billion in economic development and more than 4,700 jobs, and co-authoring Breonna’s Law, which banned no-knock warrants in Louisville.

Today, Barbara continues her service as President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Louisville, Honorary Ambassador for Louisville, and a civic leader serving on numerous boards across the community. Her career reflects decades of dedication to strengthening Louisville through public service, nonprofit leadership, and community collaboration.
