A major winter storm will impact our region Jan 24ā26, with a Winter Storm Warning in effect for nearly all of Kentuckiana. Expect heavy snow, ice, dangerous travel, outages, and bitter cold.

Heavy Snowfall
⢠8ā12 inches or more expected across much of Kentuckiana.
⢠Louisville has a 70% chance of 8+ inches and up to 12+ inches in the heaviest band.
Ice & Sleet Risks
⢠Southern areas may see freezing rain and sleet, increasing risk for downed lines and outages.
Timing
⢠Heaviest snow expected Saturday through Sunday.
⢠Snow likely reaches Louisville between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday.
Travel Conditions
⢠Expect treacherous or impassable roads, low visibility, and hazardous driving.

State crews are deploying 1,500 plow trucks, 311,000 tons of salt, and 1 million+ gallons of brine, and urge drivers to avoid unnecessary travel.
