Chenoweth Tree Planting Event with TreesLouisville

Saturday, March 21, 2026
10am-12:30pm @
Chenoweth Elementary

Help us plant 52+ new trees to beautify our campus with help from TreesLouisville! Kids are welcome to assist in the planting efforts with adult supervision. There will be a select number of tree seedlings to giveaway to volunteers at the conclusion of the event thanks to the Jefferson County Soil and Water Conservation District. Calling all Chargers! 📣 The Chenoweth Elementary PTA is collaborating with the Family Resource Center to collect food and other essential items for our Charger families that need a little extra support this holiday season. This important food drive starts next week and runs through November 14. *SEE LIST OF MOST NEEDED ITEMS BELOW.*

HOW TO DONATE YOUR ITEMS - 3 options:
1. SEND your donation to school with your student – they can drop it in the box in the lobby on the way to class

2. DELIVER your donation between 10am-3pm – pull up, ring the buzzer, and give your items to front office

3. ARRANGE any bulk donations by contacting Ms. Mimms or Ms. Greene at 502-861-7621 or [email protected]

Another great afternoon in our Outdoor Classroom! Thank you to the families who came & participated in our pond cleaning, crafts, and a special shoutout to Jenny Seigle Baughman & friend for the big bed clean out! 😀

We are so lucky to have this expansive, outdoor space at Chenoweth, where there is an abundant opportunity for learning and connecting! 🍃

This Sunday! 🍁Come enjoy an afternoon of crafts & cider in the Outdoor Classroom! 🍎There is plenty of fall/winter preparation to be done if you’re in the mood to put your gardening gloves on, however, it’s not a requirement 🙂🍂
