If you don't have kids at the middle or high school, you can drop new and gently used shoes off here at the Library starting on Monday, Sept. 14 and we'll be sure they get them!

Louisville Elementary School Will Reopen Thursday, September 3

We are happy to share that all HVAC issues at Louisville Elementary School have been resolved. Our maintenance teams and service professionals worked throughout the day today to complete the necessary repairs and ensure the building is ready for students and staff.

Louisville Elementary School will be OPEN tomorrow, Thursday, September 3, 2026, and will operate on its normal schedule.

We appreciate the patience, flexibility, and understanding of our LES families as we worked to address this issue. The safety and comfort of our students and staff remain our top priority, and we look forward to welcoming our Little Leopards back to school tomorrow to finish the week strong! 💙🐆

🚨 IMPORTANT CLOSURE NOTICE

Louisville Elementary School will be closed today, Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

The chiller that cools the building is currently down. While repair teams are working to fix the issue, we cannot be certain how long the repairs will take. With extremely high temperatures expected today, we have made the decision to close Louisville Elementary School for the safety of our students.

All other Louisville City Schools buildings will remain open as scheduled.
