Mosquitoes carrying the West Nile virus have been detected in local surveillance traps by the LMPHW Mosquito Control team. Mosquito fogging is scheduled for tonight, September 15, weather permitting, in the Portland area (see map).

• Report mosquito concerns to Metro311 by dialing 311 or 502-574-5000.

Due to high temperatures and a heat index predicted over 100 degrees this Thursday, September 3, the Gray Street Farmers Market will be closed.

Market operations are expected to resume next week on Thursday, September 10.

It's so dang hot this week. With a heat index of over 100 degrees predicted for this Thursday, Sept 3, we are keeping the market closed for the safety of vendors, employees, volunteers, and customers.
