This semester, the Cardinal Battalion celebrated cadet achievements, welcomed newly contracted cadets into the program, announced summer training opportunities, conducted a leadership transition, and honored MSG Popovich on his retirement.

As the semester comes to a close, we want to thank every cadet, cadre member, and supporter who helped make this year a success. We wish everyone a well-earned summer break and look forward to seeing our MSIII cadets represent the battalion at CST and other training opportunities this summer.

Battle On!🪖

As the end of the semester approaches, we want to recognize our Cardinal Battalion MS4s who are commissioning. They’ve put in so much hard work, time, and dedication to get to this point, and now it’s crunch time leading up to the end of the semester and their commissioning. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them and everything they’ve accomplished, and we’re excited to see all they will achieve in their Army careers and the growth that’s still to come as they continue to progress. 🇺🇸🦅

Cardinal Battalion took on their annual Spring FTX this weekend alongside WKU Army ROTC in a joint training exercise. Cadets practiced both day and night land navigation, putting their skills to the test in real conditions. MS3s took everything they’ve been working on in class and labs and applied it in the field, executing missions and pushing their critical thinking to the limit. Now it’s time for the MS3s to take on camp. Battle On!🦅🇺🇸

It’s almost time for the Cardinal Battalion to step into FTX weekend, where all the preparation, long days, and hard training finally come together. This is the moment where every early morning, every lab, and every rep in the field actually matters. From running stick lanes to executing land navigation, cadets will be pushed both mentally and physically, forcing them to rely on their training, trust their teams, and step up as leaders. The MS3s will take charge, leading missions and making decisions under pressure as they prepare for CST, while underclassmen continue to build their foundation and confidence in the field.

Cadets Franzel and Gosnell earned the Bronze badge (first award) while Cadet Wojcicki earned the Silver badge, marking a second successful completion. Cadet Gosnell also placed 2nd overall with an impressive time of 3:08.

This is the standard we uphold in the Cardinal Battalion.

Today, our cadets participated in a blood drive and are currently going head-to-head with Air Force ROTC to see who can bring in more pints. The Cardinal Battalion had over 25 cadets step up today and is looking to build on that momentum tomorrow.

Our cadets are committed to giving back and making a real impact through service and donation. If you’re interested in donating, reach out and we’ll help you get set up.

Go Cards. Battle On.
