Labor Day 2026 Weekend !🇺🇸🌎🏁🐎😎 some worked, others relaxed
It’s your right to do either !)
I’m proud to be running for City Council Re-Election this November!
We were sworn in two years ago and I’ve been working hard every month since then! It is an honor and a privilege to be representing all of the working class citizens of Russell!
For the past few years, I have voted to lower your taxes, and this is the first year we unanimously did!
( I’m one of six votes on council!)
A year I advocate for a sound, budget, restrained expenses, and efficient operations management!
We have a 14 person police force , two fire stations with a full-time Fire Chief and over 25 volunteers firemen and of course, our municipal water plant and distribution system serving over 25,000 people a day!
It’s a Big Job to run our small city 🏙️
We have a great team dedicated in every department !
This November election 🗳️ I would appreciate Your Vote 🇺🇸

Summer 26 - August wrap up meeting with TAXES lower property rate last week meeting :
We can do that when we reduce expenses elsewhere and increase revenue from different streams!
Congratulations to Fire Chief Billy Salvage for being inducted into the state Hall of Fame! 🇺🇸🔥🚒
We still have a overpopulation of deer and there’s a few big bucks and plenty of lovely dough roaming my neighborhood and I’m sure yours too:
Not much of my garden is left and hopefully we can reduce that soon with a controlled crossbow Hunt.

What’s Going on around Russell?
City operations are varied & complex at times !!
This week - Deer 🦌 Doe & Buck running amuck all around town !
Yes, they’re cute to look at. They destroy gardens for flowers and vegetables and we won’t mention ticks and Lyme disease.
So something has to be done and we shall see if we can pull it off before the winter with a controlled crossbow Hunt.
Summer storms as well as winter cause havoc with down trees across roads and powerlines, and that happened again this week twice actually in one week on the same road and another one a block away on Politt and Gesling ,,
Some homes are without power and telecom for half a day or more overnight perhaps- authorities are notified and crew are dispatched!

🚨 Russell Police Department Receives AED Donation 🚨

The Russell Police Department would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Scott Hill and UK King’s Daughters for their generous donation of two AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) to our department.

This donation is more than just equipment — it has the potential to save lives. Having AEDs readily available gives our officers another critical tool when responding to medical emergencies and can make a life-saving difference when seconds matter.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support UK King’s Daughters provides to our first responders and our community. They consistently demonstrate their commitment to making our community a better, safer place by reinvesting in the people and organizations that serve it every day.

Data Center developments -
In case you did not hear this has been developing not only at the state level, but the federal level as well regarding electric power and transmission for the digital developments. Updated centers need to be paid for upfront by the commercial and user not the public.!
