Education wins in Franklin County! After immense public pressure, the county manager decided to reconsider her proposal and amended her recommendation to meet the request of the school board for expense funding. This will ensure our schools, public and charter, are adequately funded to support their students in the upcoming school year.

big budget fight going on!

We are always talking about inflation and rising cost, but don't seem to want to bring it up when it comes to education. The bipartisan budget, voted on by all three conservative school board members, actually accounts for rising costs from inflation. The budget presented by the county manager would only exacerbate the challenges our schools are facing.
